Entrepreneurial Development Cell (EDC)
Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences & Liberal Arts — Activities 2024–2025
About the EDC
The Entrepreneurial Development Cell (EDC) was established to encourage students to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Though it had been functioning informally since 2017, the EDC was officially inaugurated on 2 December 2019 within the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Liberal Arts.
“Let’s Talk” is a signature platform organised under the EDC where local and regional entrepreneurs are invited annually to share their journeys and inspire students.
B.Com. Business Project (3rd & 4th semesters)
B.Com. students undertake a hands-on business project during their third and fourth semesters. They conceptualise and manage small-scale ventures to gain practical experience in entrepreneurship. The project includes a step-by-step process: idea generation, market testing, pilot surveys, sample product creation, proposal submission, and final presentations.
