Representatives from the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Cell of the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, Sikkim Manipal University paid a visit to the adopted GPU (Ranka) on Wednesday, the 1st of September, 2021. The Representatives held a meeting (Gram Sabha) with the Panchayat President, Panchayat Members and other villagers. They briefed the gathering about UBA and discussed various aspects associated with the same. The villagers and the Panchayat members interacted with the representatives and raised their concerns over the issues like:

  • Training on Organic Farming
  • Provisions of Personality Development and vocational skill s training.
  • Marketing of organic products
  • Water source problem
  • Local labour problem
  • Electricity problem
  • Availability of organic products but poor marketing
  • Organic manure
  • Introduction of Homestay provisions
