The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Sikkim Manipal University organised a Webinar on Investor Awareness and the Role of Regulators on 27th April 2021 in collaboration with BSE Investors’ Protection Fund for the students and faculties of Sikkim Manipal University. The programme started with a welcome speech by Mr. Munna Paul, BSE, IPF followed by a keynote speech by Dr. Madan Chettri, Coordinator of Humanities and Social Sciences. The chief speakers of the event were Mr. Priyank Harish Shinde, AGM, SEBI ERO, who provided an insight on the roles and responsibilities of SEBI. Mr. Pratyush Sengupta, BSE, IPF made an overview on Indian Securities Market while Mr. Somnath Majumder, CDSL gave his views on the rising importance to of DEMAT. The webinar concluded with the question and answer session and a vote of thanks.
