The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Sikkim Manipal University along with the NSS unit, SMU participated in the event organised centrally in the Auditorium, SMIMS on 29th of August 2019. The launching of Fit India Movement by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in New Delhi was witnessed live by the students and faculty members. Honourable Vice Chancellor, SMU, Lt. Gen. MD Venkatesh: Dean, SMIMS Brig. VK Mehta also graced the occasion. After the inspirational speech of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, NSS volunteers, students of the HSS Department along with other students of the university took a few rounds of fitness activities.
