On March 26, 2025, NSS Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Liberal Arts and NSS Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing and successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp at CRH in collaboration with Saksham Bharti Foundation under the LG CSR initiative. The event encouraged voluntary blood donation and spread awareness about its importance. Students, faculty, and staff from the various Units of Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) actively participated, recognising the vital role blood donation plays in saving lives. The initiative was widely promoted across social media and university networks, resulting in a high turnout. LG India provided donors with T-shirts, appreciation certificates, and refreshments to show their appreciation for their contributions.
The camp successfully met its objectives by collecting significant blood units for medical use, raising awareness, and fostering a sense of social responsibility. Many participants expressed gratitude for being part of this noble cause, with first-time donors appreciating the guidance. The enthusiastic participation highlighted the commitment of the University community for this humanitarian efforts. Total 36 participants have donated their blood out of 90 registrations.
