The Department of Child Health (Pediatric) Nursing, Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing (SMCON), successfully organized a Poster Presentation on 30th May 2025 at 3:00 PM onwards in Lecture Hall 1. The event was an integral part of academic enrichment for undergraduate nursing students, aimed at enhancing their understanding and communication of child health-related topics through visual and oral presentation.

The program commenced with a welcome address, followed by the introduction of the judges and dignitaries present.

Judges were, Prof. Binita Khati, Mrs. Prearna Karki, Associate Professor, and Mrs. Pranita Sharma, Assistant professor, SMCON. Their valuable insights, constructive feedback, and fair evaluation greatly enriched the learning experience of the participants.

Their presence of Prof. Champa Sharma, Principal, Prof. Ranjaita Devi, Vice Principal, Prof. Reshma Tamang, Head of Department, Child Health (Pediatric) Nursing encouraged and motivated the students and elevated the significance of the event.

The students prepared and presented their posters under the supervision and guidance of Ms. Sujen Cintury, Assistant Professor, Department of Child Health Nursing. Her dedicated mentorship played a crucial role in shaping the students' work and confidence.

Students showcased their posters on various relevant topics in child health. Each presentation was assessed based on clarity of content, visual appeal, depth of knowledge, and communication skills, following a structured 50-mark evaluation rubric.

Among the participants, Ms. Lawrance Chettri and Ms. Ishani Rai of Group 1 were recognized for their outstanding communication and presentation skills. They were awarded the Certificate of Best Speaker for their exemplary performance.

The event concluded with a brief feedback session from the judges and dignitaries, commending the students’ efforts and encouraging them to continue exploring and presenting academic content creatively and confidently.
