Society for Management Studies (SMS) under the aegis of Department of Management Studies, SMIT, organized 'Freshers Welcome Event' for BBA, BBA (Fintech.), BSc. (Economics) and MBA - 2023 batches on 29th September 2023 at Basketball Court, Marena, SMIT.
The event commenced with the stirring strains of the National Anthem, setting a patriotic tone. Esteemed guests, Associate Director (Student Affairs), Dr. N. K. Bhattacharya, and the Head of Department of Management Studies, Dr. Bedanta Bora, alongside distinguished faculty members, led the traditional Diya Lighting Ceremony. Both guests extended a warm welcome to the newly enrolled students.
The event commenced with an energetic welcome dance, leading into the highlight, the Mr. and Ms. Freshers Competition, featuring two engaging rounds. In the Talent Round, 21 students from various programs displayed exceptional skills, including dance acts, a soulful song, and a mesmerizing band performance by senior students. The Fashion Walk added a touch of glamour, concluding with a Prize Distribution Ceremony to honor the winners. The event ended with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, capping off a memorable welcome for the new students.
