Sawney Survey Drive, UBA Cell, SMIT

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology organized a survey drive at Sawney village on 19 Sep 2023. This event was part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, a Ministry of Education initiative to collect the household data from the villagers. UBA cell, SMIT organized the event. 2 faculty members and 11 villagers participated in the event. It started at 9:30 am in the morning and continued till 1 pm. Dr. Saumya Das, Assistant Professor, UBA Coordinator, SMIT coordinated the activities for this event. Mr. Abhinandan Baruah, Assistant Professor, ME assisted in collecting data from the villagers. Dr. G. L. Sharma, Director, SMIT and Mr. D.B. Chettri, Head Admin, SMIT extended all necessary support for conducting the survey. Villagers have shown their sincere gratitude to Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, for taking these initiatives for their upliftment. SMIT promised to keep close touch with Sawney villagers in future also.
