On 7th September 2023, we celebrated Janmashtami in our very own fashion. The event started at 5:45 PM as we all, the faculty, and students, offered our prayers to Lord Krishna followed by the 'Aarti' cleansing our souls from all the evils we even had a few singing performances by students and faculties along which even included Director Sir giving us a glance of his melodious voice. Moving along, at 6:30 PM the event followed with a narration of a few verses from the Bhagavad Gita by our very own Literary and Debate Secretary, Raunak Raj. Following it we had a melodious Flute show at 6:45 PM by our SMIT's very own talent from first year, Shreyansh Mishra which made the way to the games for the night at 7:00 PM the games rule were simple you get blind folded and you have to break a pot which were to be placed anywhere near on the ground and one had to find the pot and break it with the stick provided within 30 seconds it was enjoyed both by the participants and the audience. The event continued with a jamming session with Chromatix at 7:30 PM which mesmerized the crowd. The event ended at 8:35 PM with a jalsa where everyone danced their hearts out on the beats dedicated to lord Krishna.
