Celebration of World Entrepreneurs Day 21st to 31st August 2023

• On the occasion of the world Entrepreneurs Day, students of the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts, Sikkim Manipal University were encouraged to participate in many competitions like Slogan writings, poster and banner making related to the theme entrepreneurship. The main objective of this program was to encourage both Arts and Commerce students on Entrepreneurship. The students were encouraged to paste all the slogans and the posters on the wall so that it will be visible to all the other students of the department. The faculty members were asked to go and select the best three slogans, banners or the posters. The top three students will be receiving the certificate from the department. The program was conducted by the Entrepreneur Development Cell, which is a part of the department. The event coordinators were Dr. Aditya Rai, Assistant Professor, Coordinator (Entrepreneur Development Cell), FHSSLA, Sikkim Manipal University and Mr. Sumeet Agarwal, Assistant Professor, Program Officer, FHSSLA, Sikkim Manipal University.
• The students were also encouraged to go and talk with various local entrepreneurs in and around Gangtok, after that they were encouraged to make a report on it. The motive was to help them get the real hand experience and also the opportunity to build relationship with the local entrepreneurs.
• This sort of program and initiative by the department will surely motivate more students to come forward and work on many business ideas and business projects.
